Waterproofing for old bathrooms,

I'm working on a renovation project right now. I need a proper water proofing solution for the old bathrooms, where the leakage is damaging the paint of adjacent walls and the client don't want to change the entire tiles.

Cutting the joints 5mm width and filling it with epoxy grout will work.
