This Privacy Policy explains what information Prakoshta collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide: name, email, mobile number, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), profile details, project/product photos and details, messages you send to other users, reviews, and any documents submitted for verification.
Information collected automatically: basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site working properly (e.g., our spam-prevention system).
We use your information to: operate your account and display your public profile; enable messaging and notifications between users; send account-related emails (such as verification codes and password resets); review documents submitted for the "Verified" badge; and maintain the security of the platform.
Your public profile (name/firm name, category, city, bio, projects/products, and photos you upload) is visible to anyone visiting the site. Your mobile number is shown to other users so they can contact you directly via call or WhatsApp — this is a core part of how Prakoshta works. Your email address and password are never shown to other users.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (never stored in readable form). We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no online platform can guarantee absolute security.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers. Information may be disclosed if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Prakoshta or its users.
You can update your profile information at any time via Edit Profile. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data via the "Delete My Account" option in Edit Profile — this action is irreversible.
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (such as which pages are viewed and general traffic patterns), which uses cookies to distinguish visitors. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and Google Analytics data is used only to improve the site, not to identify individuals personally.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us through the details available on our website.
